2001  In his MLB debut, Colorado rookie Jason Jennings shuts out the Mets 10-0 – at bat he is 3 for 5 with a HR
1999  NYY beat Texas 21-3 – Derek Jeter scores his 100th run for the 4th straight season – only other Yankee to do  so was Mantle who did it 9 straight   (over)
1998  Barry Bonds hits his 400th HR – ends 755
1993  Joe Carter of Blue Jays hits 3 HRs in the game – 5th time in his career he has done so – AL record
1992  Dennis Eckersley, who previously set the record for most consecutive
saves, is the 1st pitcher to record 40 saves in 4 different seasons
1989  Dodgers beat Montreal 1-0 in 22 innings on a Rick Dempsey HR – Expos did not get a walk, game time was 6 hours 14 minutes, and the Expos mascot was ejected in the 11th inning
1970  Roberto Clemente gets his 2nd straight 5 hit game
1964  The Cardinals are 11 games back in the NL – they will go on to win the World Series
1963  Warren Spahn starts his 601st game – NL record – Grover Cleveland had 600
